This happens every time that I do this flight. IFR flight plan Innsbruck to Milan (LOWI - LIML)
Default scenery, default Baron.
Over the Alps, ATC tells me to fly 14000' as soon as I get there, descend and maintain 13000', then back to 14000' again, and on and on.
Then with the mountain tops at about 9200' ATC tells me to expedite descent to 8000'
I go down to 10000' with about 800' clearance and they are still demanding I descend to 8000'
I manage to hold them off until I am clear of the mountains, when they tell me climb and maintain 9000'
Anyways, having got through all that, eventually get lined up on approach, given clearance to land RWY 26R. About 30 seconds later I hear ATC giving World Travel 4202 clearance to land RWY 26R and about 30 seconds or so later I hear the scream of jet engines and this is what happens when I am 7 miles out (see the pic below).
World travel disappears in the mist to land and I slowly continue on my descent. Having crossed the threshold, throttled back and flared ready to touch down ATC says go around - just as my wheels touch the tarmac.

Yes, I think ATC (sorry - Microsoft) needs certifying!
Create an IFR flight plan and give that route a try in the Baron sometime to see what I mean!
