    Default Instability at landing

I hoped that Microsoft could have corrected the instability at landing. This fault is here since the beginning of Flight sim, even in Apple version, where it was almost impossible to land. In real flight, when well trimmed and no wind, the plane land itself !
This fault doesn't exist in X-Plane.

I dont understand your question / concern ?

Are you saying it is 'too easy' or 'too hard' to land.... ?

Besides the fact that ideal conditions never exist like you describe, if you take a Skyhawk, trim it for the proper descent angle, it will make a skyhawk shaped hole in the runway numbers if you don't flare.

Thank you for your message !
What I mean is : landing in MSFS is quite different as the real flying. In approach phase, with a Mooney, when the speed is dropping to minimum, (let's say 80 kt), it is quite impossible to have it stable, it goes from right to left erratically. As a pilot of Mooney M20F, in the same phase, the plane remains stable and if well trimmed, I could land hand off the yoke, (even I won't do it).

Doesn't do that on my system. Solid as a rock over the fence, little bit of up trim and final power reduction and it greases on every single time. Bit of rudder trim and it copes with normal crosswind components in the same unruffled manner.

You may have issue with your controllers. Look for details on control surface `spikes` using the search engine.

    Hi J.C

I agree with my good friend Charles... it is NOT a problem for me.. quite the opposite.

Please try looking at your controler setup / directx / usb drivers etc. Check for IRQ sharing too.

Why you should have had this issue since early fs versions is baffling, however, I can ASSURE you, it is NOT the program at fault. Hope you get it sorted.

Ah, but it will be a STYLISHLY SMOOTH hole :7

Controller calibration does make a difference. I just built a new Pentium 4 system. After loading FS2004, took the Skyhawk out for a short hop to check my settings. TRIM STALL!!!!! It took off trying to do an imitation of a 180hp F-15 with the resulting nose high stall. After calibration, it became more docile.
