"As we look at our Direct3D game tests with the new AMD64 processors, we can safely say that both the Athlon 64 FX-51 and the Athlon 64 3200+ are killer gaming CPUs for Direct3D titles. The only Direct3D game benchmark that Intel wins is the Comanche 4 test, and then only the P4 Extreme Edition takes the crown. The two Athlon 64 CPUs come in second and third in this test, though the Athlon 64 3200+ and the standard P4 are in a dead heat.The Athlon 64s, however, rule the roost in the other D3D game tests, including Dungeon Siege, Unreal Tournament 2003, Splinter Cell, and Flight Simulator 2004."
