Thread: Nav Frequency Problems with Third Party Panels

  1. Default Nav Frequency Problems with Third Party Panels

    I'm experiencing problems with third party panels that I have loaded into FS 2004.

    1. Nav frequency ILS is not picking up the ILS/DME. Could this be a result that I have FS 2002 panel that has a frequency of five digits compared to FS 2004 having six digits. Example: Runway 4L at Detroit Metro has a frequency of 111.950, but in my Convair 500 panel I can only put in 111.95.

    2. Second problem is I just download a new FS 2004 MD-80 panel from Marco Spada and it won't let me change frequency from the ones that is already set.

    Any help would be appreicated.

    Goto aircraft.cfg and see if Nav.1 and Nav.2 matches like below:

    [Radios]
    // Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
    Audio.1 = 1
    Com.1 = 1, 1
    Com.2 = 1, 1
    Nav.1 = 1, 1, 1
    Nav.2 = 1, 1, 0
    Adf.1 = 1
    Transponder.1 = 1
    Marker.1 = 1

    111.950 = 111.95, that's it.
    If you're able to pick up a VOR, then you should be able to pick up an ILS. Otherwise you're doing something wrong. Try it in default Cessna and see if it works. If problem involves add on planes then se problem # 2

    problem # 2
    that's what the guy said, I do that with most aircrafts' aicrft.cfg's.
