Can't offer much help with the disappearing pink snake but love that pic!. Sometimes I found in FS2002 that if the airport elevation was slightly different to the surrounding terrain (as with add-on airports) the snake would go to ground. Guess you are talking default airports here though. Take an external spot plane view - sometimes the snake is behind you!.

Keep at it soon you'l be crossing the continents. Have fun.

Did you go into spot mode and look arond the a/c? Sometimes if you take a turn off and ask for taxi to the gate, it might be on the other side of the airport and the snake will be behind you going in the other direction.

If you go to top down view you may not need the progressive taxi feature. You can open it in a "new view" window from the Views drop down menu. Sometimes its easier to taxi using a high six o'clock position in spot view. PDF files of major airports are available from NACO at the following site. The second link should go straight to KMIA. These are the same airport diagrams as in U.S. Terminal Procedures (approach plates).

Default Where did the "snake" go after touchdown?

    Hi All-

As witnessed from my previous posts I definitely have the "novice" student status; however, I can get the plane up, keep it in the air, and for the first time last night successfully took off from Key West and landed in Miami. When I landed I was instructed to taxi to the Gate but the progressive taxi "snake" was nowhere to be found to help my get to the gate??? Any ideas as to why it didn't appear despite the fact that I did turn it on? Any help is appreciated as always.
