    Default Active Sky - Anyone Else with this Problem?

    I have latest version of Active Sky WXre and FSUIPC (registered version) and it seems that on about 50% of the times I load up FS9 with Active Sky WXre already running the sim crashes with dreaded black screen less than 1 second after I see the aircraft panel. i.e just after the terrain/scenery/traffic has initially loaded up and the sim opens up in the 2D cockpit view - it flashes on looking OK then it disappears rather quickly to the black screen followed by usual error reporting. I wonder how many MS have had of these regarding FS9 - I always send them even if it's 3rd party soft that may be causing the problems.

    This is really annoying as I have to load up and create the flight all over again and some times it is ok but other times it just crashes out.

    Hope this is clear and I'm not 100% sure it is ActiveSky WXre that is causing the problem, hard with an intermittent fault to point the finger (apologies to ActiveSky if I'm in error here).

    G'Day Draky.
    I have the latest version of Active Sky and the unregistered version of FSUIPC. I havent had any problems. Although I wait until the flight is loaded before I start up Active Sky.

    Sorry I cant help mate. Suggest you email the Active Sky people and see what they say. (may have already done that)

    Thanks Ryan - I have put a similar post on the Active Sky support forum over at AVSIM. I'm not sure it is AS that is causing the trouble though - difficult to pinpoint as it does not happen all the time. I suspect it could also be a missing texture - dunno if that would cause a crash though?
