Now that I have a brand-new Asus P4C800-ED motherboard, I am currently trying to figure out exactly what it is that I need to learn about all the settings available in the BIOS.
I am currently running the BIOS with the default/auto settings (except for a change to 128MB for the video card).
I know very little about overclocking, chip settings, latency timing, and the host of frequency changes that are available(and perhaps ill-advised to be messing with).
So, my question is: what areas do I need to really familiarize myself with in order to get the best performance from the new system I've assembled.
As always, feedback is welcome.
