Thread: Richard Probst's B-727 Panel

    Default Richard Probst's B-727 Panel

    Has anyone been successful in getting this panel to work in FS2004 or have any information on how to get it to work?
    I get errors when trying to load the RP727.gau file. This is one of those guage files that contain a whole series of gauges.
    Thanks

    i don't remember if this was the prob i had or not, and i am on the road now, so i don't have to check, but, make sure you have fssound.dll in your modules folder.

    Thanks a bunch. That was the problem. I remembered to add the [Old Modules] in the FS2004.cfg file but forgot to tranfer the fssound.dll file to the modules folder.

    I have de fssound.dll in place, oldmolules section of the cfg ok, the panel loads and work ok except for the autopilot portion of the radio panel which just doesnt show. I guess that this part of the multigauge is not compatible whit fs2004, a shame , cause is the nicest 727 panel on the net and would love to keep using it in fs2004, if there is something i can do to make it compatible let me know

    Hi KC
    Yes the panel works for me except for the autopilot not showing. I just substituted the B737-400 autopilot in place of the RP727!autopilot as below in {Window03}

    gauge00=737-400!Autopilot, 0 ,197, 400, 100

    I also changed the GPS as below the show the Garmin 500:

    {Window02}
    Background_color=16,16,16
    size_mm=120,200
    window_size_ratio=1.000
    position=8
    visible=0
    ident=GPS_PANEL
    window_size= 0.195, 0.387
    window_pos= 0.806, 0.410

    Gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0,120,200

    Both could probably use a little re-sizing but work for me.

    Here's how to get the autopilot to display correctly. Open the panel.cfg file and find the following line:

    gauge00=Rp727_2!ap ,0 ,197, 400, 103

    Delete the space between "ap" and the comma, like so:

    gauge00=Rp727_2!ap,0 ,197, 400, 103

    That should do it. Apparently fs9 is more fussy about extra spaces than fs2k2.

    Even with the autopilot displaying correctly, however, I found that it worked only partially. Engaging the "paddles" would hold pitch and bank, but the heading sel and alt hold switches didn't work.
