Default Can you save in mid-flight?

Is it possible to save a flight in progress while still flying to your destination?

    Thx!

Of course you can..While flying just click "Save Flight" chose a name and voila! when you next fly chose "select flight" and it will be there..mide you if you have autopilot on it can take a couple seconds to maintain that.

Yes. alt/flights/save flight and give it a name..I usually use
the airport identifiers as the file name..ie, MHT-BWI..I've got
several saved right now which I hope to finish one of these days..

Of course! I do it frequently. You do have to have your sim set to default to the "previous flight" in order to do that. That way, no matter where you are when you exit, you come right back to the same location, whether it is in mid-flight, at the gate, or wherever.

Why do I keep restarting on the ground after I save a flight?

After you save the flight... make sure you check, "Make this default" on the flight list. YOu have to start up with that new saved flight as the default flight. I do it all the time... I always stop the flight, save as "1"... then check, "make this your default flight" or what ever it says, then since I always have a previous default fight named "1"... it prompts me, "overwrite"... and I say yes.

Do the above, and you're always going to start exactly where you left off.

The semi-colon is a short-cut to the save flight dialog, and I use it often on approaches. I name these types of saved flights 'junk' (or whatever) in case I want to fly that approach over again, etc.

You can-make sure you give the flight a descriptive name.

If your wanting to save in case there is a crash go to http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html and get the autosave module. If your landing doesn't go well, this saves the flight at set intervals and restarts you at the last save.
