Changing VOR from low to high.

Is there a way to change a VOR from a low altitude to a high altitude? There are a few times where I can't use a jet route with VOR's because they use a low altitude VOR in real life for more than 50 miles. An example of this is the CRL VOR in northern Florida. Is there a way I can make it a high altitude VOR by editing a database or something?

I think that's up to the FAA, don't you? Are you flying the outbound radial as well as inbound? You can always go to heading hold until you pick up the next station, or ask Center for a vector. Then there's always that GPS thing. RNAV? LORAN? INS?

There was a utility (EasyNav) for FS2002, that I think may do this. It may work with FS9 when we figure out which .bgl file the nav stuff is in.

Cool!! I was hoping it wasn't a lost cause. I know I could use GPS, but I don't like switching back and forth from nav to GPS. If anyone has more information, it would be greatly appreciated.
