Thread: CH Propedals brake problem

  1. Default RE: CH Propedals brake problem

i had this problem too. i UNPLUGGED them from the USB port and plugged them back in. then recalibrate, but make absolutely sure that your feet are not on the pedals when you are calibrating them. for example: when you start to calibrate them, keep your feet off until your told to move something on them. i found out that my brake was on regardless of what i did because my feet were pushing down on them a little bit when i was calibrating them. but unplugging and pluggin them back in with the system on should fix it.

    regards.

Check the reverse box in the axis section of assignments.

I also have the same problem. Occasionally my USB pedals will freeze up while playing. Unplugging and putting them back in works, but there should be a better way to fix this.

I am back in the flying business. I paid for and installed the latest FSUIPC 3.04 and just had FSUIPC handle the CH Pro Pedals. What I observed is simple "jitter" from the pedals is the root of the evil and that FS2004 handling of it is poor. I set the brakes (allowing for a small bit of "travel" before they engage and rudder (min, center, max) in FSUIPC and all it well again.

Now I can taxi and take-off without scaring my passengers and focus on the new sim! And amazingly I can now fly the Cub, Jenny, and Wright Flyer (still can't land the Flyer).

Also, I got a quick reply from CH Products suggesting installing the latest Control Manager, but haven't tried that yet. Would be interested in anyone has done that.

Conclusions: FS2004 bug in joystick calibration and jitter handling and poor differential brake handling.
