Kudos to FS 2004!!

Hi folks, just wanted to say I think FS2004 is much better than its predecessor of 02!! I think (just my opinion) the planes actually handle better this time around especially the 747 and ILS and approaches are easier for the planes to capture the glide slopes etc....true there are some bugs that have to be worked out in other areas, but I think its da bomb!

I second that :)

I think the flt models have been improved among the other fine improvement to weather, ATC, autogen etc..

*FS2004 IS AWESOME* and I wish there were more of these posts around here

Copy that. There are frequent posts that are positive but they're snowed under by the constant rehashing of a few peoples' problems (or more likely perceived problems).

they say (the pros) the models are not really improved, they made it harder for developers to do flight models as acurate as those they did for DS04.
Today I did a first ATC controlled IRF in 04 (KJFK-KMIA) and I loved it!
Great ATC!! good nav tools, default Garmins are nice, sky is blue, clowds, it was a heck of a 2.5 hout long flight! Nevered had such enjoymnet in 04.

There has been much discussion lately in the Avsim MSFS aircraft development forum. Seems that the reasons & changes to FS2004 flight dynamics are better known........... now.

Here is a paragraph from a reply by Ron Freimuth, that implies that the FS2004 Cessna 172 is actually better than the previous default. At least I think it is...

Further, the FS8 C172SP was slow by 10 kts or so. The engine couldn't hit red line, the prop was wrong. That has been improved in the FS9 172. I'd fixed the FS8 172 years ago and many people wanted it.
