Thread: Logbook error...please help!

    Default Logbook error...please help!

I just started getting a logbook error on FS2004 shutdown that says that the logbook " " does not exist and to choose a new one. When I go to the dialog box for logbooks it pulls up the correct info and the logbook is in order. It is just when I complete a flight and I want to auto-log my time that I get this error. Any ideas? I can not figure out what the heck is going on.

    Thanks,
    Keith

Only on the second page or with the search feature.

Actually I found that post, but I am not have the problem of the logbook actually being deleted. FS claims that it is not there, yet in My Documents the logbook is there and intact. I can even go to the flight menu, Options and the Logbook option and see my entries. The error just occurs when shutting down FS2004. I guess this could just be a bug as the other thread states, but the problem was described different. I did a search for "logbook" and "logbook error" and found nothing matching my problem. Thank you for the reply though.

    Thanks,
    Keith

I get the same problem, Its as if FS is looking for a default logbook that has been deleted. Also I have problems with FS writing flight details to existing logbooks. The only way I could get out of the whole quagmuire was to go to the Start Menu, go to the FS2004 part of it, go into Troubleshooting and selecting going back to default settings. This worked for a while but I'm still having problems.

    Hi peridoc
I made that other post and perhaps I didn't explain it right but it is the same as you describe. My log books are there just on shutdown it says they aren't.
    I haven't been able to find a fix :(

Oh...ok I see. No problem. I was hoping there was a fix to this, but I guess we will just have to wait for a patch or something. I appreciate all of the responses.
