Like alot of us I have not been able to live without Active Camera in FS2002. It dramatically changes the way you use the sim and my crash helmet is off to Serge BAYE and Guillaume DARIER for a tremendous program! But... (And there's always a B-U-T-T)
I am a bit disapointed that they decided to go Shareware or better refered to as 'Pay or no Playware', as several others have chosen to do with the release of FS9. I understand what is involved with coding great programs, I do some code'in in my spare time but at the same time it dosen't sit right at least with me to start charging for programs that have always been FREEWARE as soon as we get a new release of FS. If an intention was to make a profit from one's work then it should have been that way from it's inception. IMHO, it resembles a Get-Rick-Quick-scheme, like "Hello my name is Dave Rhodes and if you just send $5 to the five people on the list below you can make $50,000 in the next 30 days"! Again IMHO, I would think that a 'Donation' procedure would have been more tactful and in the past I have have not thought twice about making my donation to those who make our hobby so much more enjoyable. I hope at least that the major bugs have been worked out of it for FS9 if it is now PayWare? This is not a flame post nor am I just picking on the makers of Active Camera but I felt as a citizen of the Great USofA a right we all enjoy in a free country is to let our opinions be known.
Just my 2 cents...
