Air Tran or CO; EWR to ATL?

My friend and I are trying to go to ATL from EWR... We checked the price, and CO is $352.50 per person, while Air Tran is $280.50..

I want to go on Air Tran, it’s cheaper, but he is afraid to step foot on an smaller Aircraft... I too am that way, but it’s cheaper...

What you think, Air Tran or CO from EWR to ATL... Round Trip??

Air Tran's 717 isn't that small, and it's pretty modern and comfortable compared to whatever Continental would sent to ATL (an older 737).

Neverminding you'd be saving $72.

Tell your friend "do not be afraid of small planes. A plane is a plane." I myself would love to fly on a twin turboprop.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a smaller airplane. They just as safe as flying in a larger airplane. And like what was said a 717 isn't that small.
