Default Flight Sim Newbie Seeks Flight Sim Help...

    Hello everyone.

I decided to purchase FS2004 a few days ago. I had been using FS2000 for a while but was never really "serious" about it. I was perfectly content flying 777's VFR from KJFK to KEWR.

    Hardware/Software always worked flawlessly.

Now I'm not what you call computer illiterate, but I'm not really techinical either.

Having installed FS2004, I am really really disapointed because the program will just freeze in the middle of nothing special. I currently have a Sony VAIO GRV680 2.6Ghz Laptop, 512 Megabytes of RAM, and an ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 (64mb).

I know the graphics cards is nothing special.

Is there anything I can do short of getting and installing another graphics card that can help correct this situation? It's extremely annoying.

Also, what graphics cards would you recommend for my system if that proves to be the only solution?

    Thanks.

    By the way...

When I tried to update my drivers... I keep getting one error message:

    INF Error
    Video Driver Not Found

    Followed by...

Setup was unable to complete the installation.
Try to setup your display adapter with standard VGA driver before running setup.
