A Patch So you don't need the cd to open 2004

Download and SAVE this to your hard drive somewhere, perhaps My Documents , or anywhere you know where it is then copy and paste it into your root FS2004 directory...replacing the one that is already there.

Note: BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL .EXE FILE JUST IN CASE AND USE AT OWN RISK

Once replaced, you can run the program without the CD in the drive...much more convienent

in a way excellent, and I have also found exactly that file, virus free, and binary equal to several other places on the web. a couple of them russian (of course....;).)

I will not alert or play police here, but we need a statement from the forum owner and the moderators whether this is allowed or not.

it is a nocd-patch for all of us that don't want to wear out the CD, but....

It's highly likely that was created for the gold/beta version(s). You might want to wait until someone creates a no-CD exe for the release version.

Well, I don't condone stealing or anything of such, but have you seen M$'s office and limousine, certainly he can afford us paying peoples a level of comfort and convenience....

Better yet, why dosn't Microsoft come up with their own noCD key that they give you when you register? Those that use a pirate brand won't take anything away from people that honeslty buy the game and just want to avoid hassle.
