    Default good review of FS2004

Here is an excellent review of FS2004 by Walter Hurdle. He brings up a lot of cool stuff that will wet our appetites. Here is the link: http://www.pcgameworld.com/review.ph...ury_of_Flight/

Also note that he was using 1.8 GHz, P4 and Radeon 9700 Pro with his resolution at 1280 x 1024 and not a word about those problems that others have said in prior posts. There might be hope for us after all!

Well a good review. Bascilly makes it sound like we hope it will be like if you get that... :)

The only point of his I disagree with is the one of multiplayer. Sure, I don't personally do it much, and I'm quite happy flying single player 99% of the time, but I wouldn't say it had no use. Remember the Flightsim.com vs. Avsim.com round the world competition? Well I flew in that, and I wasn't even a main competitor, a bunch of us flew one of the legs together, and it was great.

Although you don't necesarily need MP to enjoy FS to it's full extent. Like I play online racing sims quite a lot, and that's good cos you are racing real people who can make mistakes and be unpredictable, rather than the pre-programmed AI. In FS, it doesn't really matter because flying isn't a competition generally.

    Good review though.

Hehe. I love his multiplayer thoughts. I guess he's never flown with 5-6 of his good friends, talking to them on BattleCom/Roger Wilco, as your group of 5 cessnas tries to navigate the storms over the plains...

In his review He mentions :

"The newest version of one of the most successful franchises in PC gaming history is now available for purchase. Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight (FSCOF) hit store shelves less than two years after the release of the 2002 version, which raises a natural question for FS fans. After investing hard-earned cash in add-ons for FS 2000 and FS 2002, is this new title really worth buying? The answer is “yes.”

Is it available to buy anywhere? if so can you please tell me where I can get a copy.

    Great review I cant wait!

    Regards
