Do any of the beta testers know if the lakes freeze and turn white (snow) in the winter time?

me too!!!
I believe a simular thread was posted here a few weeks back. I remember that someone asked if there was snow of the runways and the reply was negative, neither runways or rivers had snow or ice on them. I do however believe that in cold conditions, FS2004 simulates icy conditions when landing... might be a myth though.
Actually, I think there is snow on the sides of the runways, at least a texture that represents snow plows doing their job.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-10-03 AT 07:49PM (EDT)[p]Hey guys, let's leave some surprises for July 29th ;-) At this rate, we won't have anything to smile about when we get it going, it'll just be 'hey, I knew it would do that.'
Don't think of it as being less than 3 weeks, think of it as just a little more than 2 weeks :-)
btw, this was circulated a few weeks ago, and I think the answer was no, at least to frozen water. I'm not sure about the rest.
