Default One month to go...start making your plans

In half an hour here in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, it'll be June 30th, 2003, and therefore, less than one month till I buy FS2004.

Just curious. What will you do when it finishes installing? Install your favorite addons (and hope they work)? Do a quick flight in a default aircraft? Try out one of the classic aircraft? Mess around with the new weather system for awhile?

First thing I plan to do (provided squawkbox works with FS2004) is hop on VATSIM and do a trans atlantic flight from EGLL to KJFK. How about you?

Well, at first I thought I wasn't gonna buy it, because my system sucks......bbuuuuuuut, I will, cause i always do. I guess I'll just start it up, and view the external features, then fly around seattle, etc...

    Hey Albaro,
I was assigned to Pope AFB from June, 1989 - Mar, 1994. 40th TAS (in the good old MAC days) then the 2d AS when Pope became the 23d Wing.

I think once it's installed I'll do what I did for FS2002 which was: set all the controls and button assignments to my likeing, max out all the graphics bars and stuff, then for myfirst flight I'll fly from Boeing Field in Seattle to San Francisco, CA in the 747. Just to try it out. Then I might do some other small flights with the other planes. I'm so excited for it!! Can't wait 'til it comes out.

That is what i probably will do, play in squawkbox, i heard that it will work with this new version. If not i'll try some short flight with high resolution. This is going to be great , i can't wait till it comes out . It seems like a long time until
i can have it in my hands.

Well, I'll probably fly from KSEA to KDTW in the 777, then jump into the new R22 chopper and go check out what looked like a much-improved downtown Detroit in Nels' screenshots. I'll try my hand at putting the chopper down on a building there (Most likely resulting in a crash. So far I've been unsucessful when trying to land on top of skyscrapers). If I'm still in one piece, I'll chopper over to KPTK and check that out. From there, I'll jump into the all new GMAX Lear 45 and fly to KPLN, 50 minutes to the north. Most likely the scenery there has been ported over from FS2002/2000, but maybe MS left me a suprise...;-)

Then, it's back into the R22 for a flyby of the Mackinac Bridge and a landing at Mackinac Island. Back to KPLN in one of the Cessnas and then into the 737 (which will just make it out of KPLN with some flaps and 'expert' flying ;-)) for the 3.5 hour trip to KRSW. After checking out Ft. Myers, I'll probably do a touch and go or two at Naples in the King Air, then fly over my grandparent's house on Marco Island before a flight to KEYW (Key West) for a view of the newly improved sunset and a couple of tropical drinks on the beach. :D

After dark, I'll climb into the cockpit of a Cessna again for the flight to KMIA to check out the night scenery there and see if it's any good. Then, it's into the 747 for the long, overnight haul to EGLL. Finally, I'll fly the short hop to EGCC (Manchester) where, hopefully, my FS2002 textures will port over to the default Beech Baron in FS2004 so that I can resume my round the world trip which is what I saved the U.S. West Coast for.

All of this is a two-day project, but it's gonna be fun!

First thing i'm going to do is: configuring the settings, and after i'm happy with the results, i'll try those weather themes, i'm really looking forward to that thundertheme :9, Then i'm going to fly around Belgium and see if they have implemented "the atomium" in Brussels City, because it's a well known landmark in Belgium :-)

Hmmm very thoughtful ideas :D I'll probably fly Toronto to Boston for my VA on VATSIM then fly back home. Then I will take a 2 hour drive (dreaming) to Stratford my city and fly in my Cessna and check out the scenery weather atmoshere etc :) then probably back to Toronto and hop in the Air Canada 747 to EGLL probably my last Air Canada 747 flight since Air Canada are losing them :( and then hopefully continue my trip around North America
