I hate to ask, but there are about twenty of us who would love to see some shots around KPTK (Oakland County International.
Thanks
Scott

OK here goes. Not much unusual to see there I'm afraid:

Have you seen any runway length remaining signs? I suppose you probably don't have to worry much about it in your Archer ;-), but I don't think I've seen any yet.

i just realized that all these airports that Nels keeps showing have taxiway signs. They seemed to be generated for each airport regardless of how detailed the airport is. Very nice touch, makes me wonder if they did away with progressive taxi.
"How much deeper would the ocean be if sponges didn't live there?"
From some shots of the ATC window that I've seen, it's still there, although it's given as a "Enable Progressive Taxi" rather than a request to a controller for it.

I hope something was lost in the translation of Nels' last screen shot of a short final at night. The runway lites looked totally cheesey. MUCH inferior to FS2K2. Say it ain't so Nels!!
It seems that all airports have taxiway signs now, even the little one that I fly out of in real life, that in real life does not have them :-) They are probably being generated automatically based on some airport data.
From what I've seen the runway lights are WAY too big and bright. Flightsimmers have always been spoiled in this respect...in the real world airports are hard to spot at night. One way to find them is to look for the big dark patch among all the lights! Airport lighting is relatively dim compared to building and road lights.
"From what I've seen the runway lights are WAY too big and bright."
Wow. Too bad. The lights in 2K2 weren't too bad. Too bright, yes but not ridiculous like the ones depicted in your night screen shots which look like circus tent lights. I'm hoping that was partly due to the compression of your uploads. Otherwise, some of the good scenery designers will fix them I'm sure.
Sheesh..... I seem to remember everyone complaining about 2002's lights being too dim. I guess you can't please everyone :-lol

Take my love, take my land, Take me where I cannot stand.I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me. Take me out to the black, Tell them I ain't comin' back.
