  1. Default FS2004

    The FS2004 water is great!

Until I upgrade, i might have to turn that off, like i do in FS2002.

I don't think the water in those shots are that great. When the sky is cloudy and grey, it's very unrealistic with that extremely bright blue sea colour, in my opinion...

    agreed...

I find the water being very much a step backward, I hope it can be corrected via mod.

    Thanks…

Idk guys, id kinda like that water for 2k4, only it should be darker....that can def be fixed.....but i want to keep the water from 2k2 for the oceans....if that could stay the ocean texture while the new texture is rivers and lakes thatd be awesome.

I saw A LOT of water shots on the COF web page that depicted a very wide range of water colors from deep blue to nearly silver.

In real life, of course, that is exactly the way it is. The very same body of water will have a nearly unlimited number of colors depending upon the amount of sun, the time of day and the angle at which the water is viewed.

Check out a few more water images on the COF site and I'm sure you'll see what I mean. IMHO they've done quite a good job and vastly superior to 2K2.

Agreed, the water "look and feel" is greatly improved. Take a look at the SKBO to KMIA series and you can see the changes in water color as the flight progresses over Cuba and South Florida. The wave animation is a nice touch too.

I agree that water shouldn't be bright blue when it's cloudy and dark. However, the water texture (the waves) are a cut above FS2002. Those hawaii screens are breathtaking!!
