I was wondering if any of the beta testers for FS:ACOF with an hour to spare could try something and let the forums know the result. I'd like to know if you file an IFR flight plan from KDEN (or anyplace, for that matter) to KASE, Aspen Ptikin-Sardy, CO, if FS ATC vectors you into mountains. I stopped counting after 23 times (yes, TWENTY-THREE!!!) that the FS2002 ATC would vector me into the mountains arounds Aspen (the approach controller likes to put you at about 9800' to catch the ILS; which actually is a departure offset, but that's another point; and the mountains in the immediate vicinity of KASE go up to and over 14000'). Even after using AFCAD (all praise Lee Swordy!) to close Runway 33 to landings like the real world, I still get smashed on the rocks. I'd just like to know if FS2004 has fixed the terrain recognition issues. I'd like to hear the results. I'm still going to buy FS2004 (my copies on reserve for the last month), but maybe it'd be one more issue that the beta team could provide feedback to M$ before the final release. Thanks for all the good work, beta testers, and enjoy yourselves. I know I would be!
