exporting gmax files into fs 2002

Hi guys, I'm new to airplane design and I'm having problems exporting from gmax to fs 2002, all I get after using the export command is a warning beep, a blank screen in the background and the normal Make BGL window upfront, then I hit the start button and the Make BGL window closes, but when I start FS2002 and select my airplane I get the message "visual model could not be displayed" I've done everything within my knowledge to fix the problem but results are discouraging.
Please help, I'll appreciate any support
