Can't get download to work

Need a little help. I downloaded a piper archer for fs2002. The exterior looks fine, the panel looks like a 182 and the throtle won't work. I'm sure I've missed something here. Can anyone help. BTW, I've downloaded and read the articles on downloading planes and panels. The articles say there's only on file in the aircraft panel folder, but this one has many files. What am I missing here?

To help we need a few things;

1.Which Archer?
2.It sounds like the panel.cfg has an alias to the default 182, meaning it doesn't come with one. Do you want a different panel?

Post the answers and it will help. Also if you want IMHO the best Archer out there, check out Dreamfleet's Archer at http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/Previe...her_intro.html

That is quite well known as the best out there, costs a bit, but it is well worth it.

I downloaded paarch04.zip. Since posting, I also downloaded a panel which looks good, papan28.zip. Everything looks good now, but advancing the throttle doesn't move the airplane. The control moves on the panel, but the aircraft stays put.

Have you released the parking brake(stupid question, i know, but anything could be possible) use the period button.

Yes, I've thought something was broken only to find I've left it unplugged; but, in this case, I released the brake. Thanks for trying.

Hi,
I tried to look for that paarch04.zip file on flightsim and avsim, but did not show up.
You may have a FS2004 ONLY model. Some FS'04 will work, while others will not
.I have found a few of these where the throttles don't work. They WILL show the throttle on the panel moving, but no increase in engine speed.
You may have to look for an FS2002 model. The Dreamfleet Piper Archer is a great plane and is worth the money. But if you want a freeware model, have a look as there are many around. Remember you can use another panel and/or sound to customize your Piper.

Thanks for trying to help. I've probably given you the wrong file name. I downloaded another this am, uiarcher.zip. This plane flys but has a continuous left turn and no panel. I can solve the panel problem with another downloaded panel. Can I solve the continous left turn?

Hi okartmell,Sorry for the delay,
Have you tried to use the aileron trim? I forget the command but possibly shift+num pad 6 to make it turn to the right.
Bring up the kneeboard to see what the command is if that's not right.
Have you recalibrated your stick? Some planes will pull to the left because of torque effect, or somewhat simulated version of it. Sometimes they add too much of it in the .air file.
Try tapping the numpad 6 (with num lock 'off') and see if that adds slight Right aileron to keep straight.
You're right, you can always add another panel and/or sounds too at any time.
