FS 2002 jet thrust reverser sound

Hello!

I just lost my jet thrust reverser sound in my Fs 2002, so I
took the trouble to format my partition and reinstall the sim,
and still, not a sound from the thrust reversers.

To my knowledge everything is OK with the installation.

Can somebody help on this?

I won't be surprised if the fault is simple......

When in spot view, can you see the cowlings open while applying reverse thrust with the B737? If not, the problem is that you don't have the engines running on idle thrust; make sure that your joystick/yoke/throttle(s) are properly calibrated. With MSFS the engines have to run on idle thrust first to get the reversers deploy.

I checked to see what might have gone wrong and found that there were
2 entries for "decrease engine speed" on the assignments menu.

Highly mysterious, don't you think?

so, it's been fixed now.

I didn't know that you need engine idle to reverse.

Now I know.

Make sure your throttle is at idle.

Hold down F2.

If you still dont hear it, then its a sound issue.
