    Default Piper Tomahawk Banks right

Just downloaded a Piper Tomahawk into myFS2002 and it continually banks about 20degrees to the right.File is " piprtmhk.zip "
The rudder is midships but it continues to bank to the right.
I straighten it out and it turns again. It only occurs to this plane. I checked the weather and I have no cross wind.
Does any one have any ideas on how to correct this?

    Thanks

    Hi jimmyoz,

WoW ! ........20 degree bank angle.........Must be the A/P or Yaw Dampener on. ........Check both are OFF, then verify Both the Rudder and Aileron trim stay centered (or where you put them), using Trim gauges......If no Trim gauges are in the panel your using, add some from an existing panel that has them.

    Good Luck,

    Hi Randy,
Thanks for the reply. It has no A/P. Don't know what a yaw dampner is.There is a rudder trim switch, but it does not help much.

    Ok jimmyoz,

The A/C is very likely to have both Autopilot and Yaw Dampener, but the panel your using may not show them. So...........

Get the A/C in the air again.....Then Press Z on your keyboard. That will turn off the A/P, if it has it.

If that doesn't help......Press Ctrl + D both at the same time. That will turn off the Yaw Dampener, if it's on.

If either help, we'll go from there........

    Hi,again,Randy
I did the ctrl+D and it did nothing.Still banks to the starboard.
Adjusting the Rudder trim switch starts to help, but only a little.Tried the Z key and it has no effect at all.

Hiya Jimmy, A little off-topic but couldn't resist.

Your download seems almost like they got the flight dynamics correct...LOL. We used to call it the Piper "Traumahawk" because it was so easy "scare" students in it.

    Have fun with it!

The file you have (piprtmhk.zip)has the panel for the Mooney Bravo along with interior views included. I had this file installed previously and had the bank problem with power applied. The Mooney Bravo panel causes the Tomahawk to act like a high-performance airplane and needs excessive amounts of rudder trim to offset torque.

The complete Carenado PA-38 Tomahawk which includes all updates for FS 2002 and Windows XP compatibilty patch and the proper Tomahawk panel is available at www.carenado.com in their free downloads section (6.9 mb) as PiperTomahawk.Zip. It flies like it's supposed to!
