well, i finally got into the vatsim scene of things and man... its amazing how much more gets added to the experience when there are actually other people, i also hooked up my mic and that added even more, what i'm wondering, if anybody know, is it possible to assign a joystick button to hold down when talking instead of a keyboard key?

It is possible and it is easy. Just get the last free version of FSUIPC.DLL by Peter Dowson (i.e. at http://vacc-fin.net/downloads/software/sb/FSUIPC.zip) and assign whatever button you like...
