How can I get a clean reinstall of FS2002? I use the FS uninstaller, but does it leave anything behind that needs to be removed manually? I know some files and registry entries can get left behind, but I don't know what to look for or where.

Hi Ken:-wave
I know this one!!
Goto my computor, click C, Click program files, Click Microsoft games
delete the foler FS2002, now you can reinstall a clean copy!!
If you have installed aircraft you want to save, you can rename
the file "oldFS" or something like that!! And reinstall the aircraft
you want to keep, you may need to check the panel cfg and see which
gauges you need to transfer to the new install!!
Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the reply. I remember a year or so ago that someone listed some files in the registry that may need to be removed. And I think that there is a file or two not in the FS folder that has to be removed. I cannot find the thread anywhere. I am having some problems with FS2002 that makes me feel like I need to extract every bit of the program that I can.
Ken
I think the others are overwritten, because you can not
write to them!!

The way I have done it is to first uninstall any add-ons that come with uninstall options. Then uninstall FS2002. Now manually delete anything which remains from the fs2002 directory.
If you reinstall, the install process should overwrite the registry without problems.
