Default using fs2000 aircraft in fs2002?

    hi,
i have a t-38 jet that i absolutely love but it is only for fs2000. is their a way i can make it fs2002 compatible? what is the difference between the two versions of flight sim that makes aircraft incompatible? can fs2000 files be altered to work in fs2002? thanks for your response. vidge

    Hi Vidge,

have you already tried simply copying your FS2000 aircraft to the FS2002 aircraft folder and see if it appears in the aircraft menu of FS2k2?

Your folder should look like this: ...\FS2002\aircraft\T-38\ ~or whatever the name is~. Also check if there's a model, panel, sound and texture folder, with the corresponding files for your T-38.

Normally FS2000 airaft should be compatible with FS2k2 with some exceptions concerning the lights.

Give that a try and tell us if you still have problems!

    Good Luck!

You might consider as well the FSD T38. It's a great plane, designed for FS2002 and it's freeware.

You may need to update the aircraft.cfg by adding the ui_Manufacturer and stuff like that. I have a bus that I added (don't ask why) and I updated the aircraft.cfg, and it works now.
