    Default Installing Pro with Non-Pro

I just got 2002 Pro today. I have 2002(non-pro) installed on my computer. When I put the Pro disk in, it automaticly starts non-pro. Whats going on. Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but I don't think you can have both versions installed. If I were you, I would un-install the Standard version and just use the Pro.

    Hello.

I have had the same porblem and thats what i have done to fix it, install fs2002 stdrd first, if you have not already done that, which i assume you did :-) then rename the folder which is your fs2002 folder(e.g. fs2002 rename it to fs2002tmp, or fs8 rename to fs8tmp) and for security put it into a different directory. then incert the fs202 pro disk 1 and it should come up like such : Fs2002 blah blah, install, web connection or something like that, then just install it like you normally would, but YOU HAVE TO choose a different installation folder (e.g. dont have it the same as the strd was, so instead of having it....let's say..... c:/program files/microsoft games/fs2002, make it c:/program files/microsoft games/fs2002pro) you have to do that because your regestry still keeps the fs2002 strd as c:/program files/microsoft gmaes/fs2002 (yours might be different)
Then all you have to do is create another shortcut with the target set to the fs2002.exe which is of the standart version.

    There is a but, but.......
If you have editvoicepack, or something like that that reads the regestry to see the location of fs2002, you have to create another regestry line in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/MICROSOFT GAMES/FS8.0 you have to create EXACTLY the same line, using regedit(start->run type in regedit and hit enter)but the location of the fs8.0's "exe path" will have to be pointed to the location of the "old" fs2002, but i WOULD NOT recomend doing that, because it can crash the program and the computer.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards.

    Serge

man, why not just delete standard version and install the new one? After all they are the same. No reason going through all that in my opinion...
