    Default Over the "Hump"

The inclusion of the Douglas in FS9 has aroused my interest in the airlift flights from India to China. Anyone out there have specific data re these flights and routes. If I recall, many were made in a northern arc to avoid Japanese fighters. Can't find specifics on the net, and some of the related books are out of print.
Appreciate any pointer you might have. Be great to hear from a real Dakota "Hump" flier!

http://www.avsim.com/aer and look at Michael Vone's challenges.

He has a nice package for the route including a map, flightplans and background information.

Plans are for Jan Visser/Bill Rambows R4D package but can be adopted using the default FS9 DC-3 (I've flown the first flight already, it's long and nice. Shame I cartwheeled on landing).

    jwenting,
Thanks for the pointer. The map confirms basically estimates that I made from Burma/Ledo road info. I'll try the flight using the beacons shown on the map. I've done it with direct GPS and clear weather. (I don't cheat in golf though!)
    Thanks again.
