Thread: Anti-Aliasing

    Default Anti-Aliasing

When I have the anti-aliasing box unchecked, it makes all the little lines noticable on the aircraft. But, when i check the box, it does the same thing, no change. What would you reccomend to do to fix this? I know i need to change video card settings or something, but where do i do this?
    Thanks,

Try restarting FS. I had the same problem when I was experimenting with all the graphics options. Turning off AA has an immediate effect, but turning it back on doesn't do anything until you restart the sim.

It will only work in full screen mode. Also,as mentioned above, you may not see the change without 1.restarting, or 2. try changing resolutions and then go back to the resolution you were in.
Also many beleive that it's best to uncheck AA in the game and then enable it in the display driver.

You will find better results in you Graphics card control panel settings to make A/L work better, and leave the FS A/L box un-checked.

or, simply enable it in fs, then actually control it in the gpu control panel.. and then you dont need to restart fs.. just alt enter twice... ;-)

    Hi daniel,

Right click anywhere on a blank space on your desktop
Then go down to PROPERTIES in the menu that appears
Next, click on the SETTINGS tab
There will be a picture of one or two monitors, underneath that will be a white dialog box that says
( the name of your monitor ) on ( the name of your graphics card)
    eg,
    mine says,

    VL770FS on NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X.

Next go down to the ADVANCED tab and click it. Then
Click on the tab at the top which lists your graphics card.

From here there will be options to enable/disable AA/AF

Have a look, experiment. You can't hurt anything.

If you have any trouble then tell us the name of the Graphics card and we'll be able to help further my friend.
