Im not sure if you can do that in this version of FS. I could be wrong. It would be very kool to have though. Maybe in FS2004?

Ive seen it in some screen shots here, i wonder how they do it.....!, FS.. i play fix it more then i play it!!! lol
They edit the shots with their paint program.
Usually using a blur tool.

In the screenshots the exhaust blur is edited in a imaging program. Usually something like Paint Shop Pro,,,,,,,,still not sure how you do it exactly though, I never edit mine :-)
I htought someone was working on an effect file for FS2002 a while back for just that though. Kind of like the smoke, and the snow on the ground effect file,,,,,,,I swear I saw a pic someone was working on ! :-lol

I guess it´s done with the "blur" modifier.
Well editing the pic with an image editor might be one way.
Or you could try a search in the file library for a smoke package , download that package, install it into the effects folder of FS2002 and then when in flight, press the 'I' button to turn the smoke on. Taking the screen shot then might prove to be easier.

in FS2000 I had an boeing aircraft, some sort of training 4 sitter aircraft with blurryness behind the engines.

The only effects that I have seen are smoke. grey, black..what ever. I havent seen one of the heat. I too read along time ago that someone was working on one. I guess it didnt work so we never got it.

Yup, absolutely correct Ritsaart. The Boeing 575 Concept by Nick Pike had dynamic exhaust gas effects. Here they are: (.gif)
