Thread: Menu Bar

  1. Default Menu Bar

I lost the menu bar when running the Flight Simulator in a Window rather Full Screen, yes i know the menu bar comes back with the Alt key, but it was open all the time before
Any body know how to make the menu bar stay open when running the simulator in a window without having to press the Alt key??
Thanks in advance for any Help

Walter: I don't know if this will work for you but whenever I have a problem with FS2002 like that I just delete the FS2002.cfg from the FS2002 main file then restart my computer, start up FS2002 at which time it recreates the FS2002.cfg automatically. The only drawback I have is that I have to take a minute or so to reset the Settings to what I normally have them at and, if I had made any previous changes to the cfg ,I have to make them again and save the cfg file.

Right click on your screen I think and there should be an option with something like: Display menu bar or seomthing like that.

I have the same problem. Everything was fine in FS2000. Even in FS2002, it was working and I think the menu bar stopped appearing when I changed my video card to nVidia. I remember having read sometime back in this forum that the problem is due to the video card.

I have tried to edit my .cfg file many times but FS2002 resets it. Also in the menu options, this item is grayed out.

I believe the cause was traced to certan Nvidia Detonator drivers. Changing to later drivers cured it.

What was Anthony's tip please? I have the latest detonator drivers but had this problem before and after installing the latest drivers. If I right-click on screen then the "Hide Menu" item is checked and grayed out so I cannot change it.
