Best drivers Ti4200 128mg....

I've have once again come to the guys that know...

For those of you who are running nvidia cards, what are your recommendation on drivers? I'm running Win XP (a whole new experience for me on that!) and 44.03 drivers right now. Can I get better results with other drivers?

It varies from sytem to system. Which card do you actually have? If it's a newer card (FX series), try starting with the drivers that came with the card, and see how that works. If you've done that already, and have installed the new driver, you can easily roll back the driver and see how it compares. You probably won't notice much, but it doesn't hurt to try. If Simon were here he'd be able to tell ya alllll about it. :-)The card I have now (FX5600U) is using the newest drivers because the new drivers could handle AA & AF a little better than the ones that came with the card.

I was still using the 30.82 driver with my ti4200 up untill two weeks ago as it performed better in fs2002 than any of the newer drivers. I changed to the 44.03 driver to try and correct a problem with games freezing momentarily and it did the trick and the bonus is that it has also improved the performance of fs2002. I am also using xp so i think you are using the best driver available at present.

The 44.03 seem to be the best for me right now. I've been using them since they came out. They're stable and have good performance.

If you have a low end system and needs each fps, try 40.52.

Thanks for all the info guys! I have tried a couple of different drivers as suggested, and have found the 44.03 's to work the best for me. Thank goodness for WinXP and the restore feature! And once again, some timely and excellent advice from those of you whom "lurk" this board! Thanks...
