    Default VINTAGE AIRCRAFT SCANS

Taking a look in an antique book published in 1923 ( a pictorial history of the world at that time ) I noticed some interesting pictures of very vintage aircraft. The 2004 Flight Simulator's theme of vintage aircraft and a celebration of 100 years of flight got me exited, interested and appreciative of these jems... I scanned them for those on this message board.

    Thanks for sharing.

If you are ever in the Pensacola, FL area, go see the Nava Air Museum there. They have some of the earliest U.S.Navy planes used on display, and everything else since. Plan to be there a while if you like airplanes. Also have a IMAX theater. Excellent museum.

    Thanks again, Al

That sounds like a great museum to see. I'll have to make over there someday!

If you are ever in Hartford, Connecticut there is an Aviation Museum right next to Bradley International Airport There are a lot of old Air Force Jets ( not as many as the Naval Air Museum I would think ) and a real Flight Simulator used by the Air Force and Navy that you step into and work the controls!

Thank you for your good words on the scans!

    Rgds,

    Andy
