Thread: Ultimate Traffic vs. FS Traffic 2002

Default Ultimate Traffic vs. FS Traffic 2002

    Let's compare...

    FS Traffic 2002
    airlines: 42
airports: departing 52 arriving at 750
    flights: 40,000
    price: $34.95

    Ultimate Traffic
    airlines: 800+ (20x more)
    airports: 3000+ (4x more)
    flights: 400,000+ (10x more)
    price: $29.95 (15% less)

I don't see how FS Traffic can expect to sell one more copy unless they drastically reduce the price. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems pretty cut and dry to me.

I'd have to agree. There's little else in the way of features that I can think of that would make FS Traffic competitive.

But to all the people out there that do not have web access etc. until UT becomes available widespread in a boxed format in stores, FSTraffic2002 will be the winner.

Default UT is nice but where has the GA aircraft gone...

How many of you guys that own UT are seeing your General Aviation aircraft showing up. I tried to do a flight from Jeffco ine Colorado and found the airport empty of GA planes. The same goes for Aspen. I'm wondering are a few of us having this problem or it everyone having the problem....

Same for me, but I'm going to snoop around their forum a bit for the solution. It's gotta work since you have the option for installing GA stuff.

I've also got to do some studying about how to add airlines that aren't included, such as some that have gone out of business.

So far, though, it is a FANTASTIC program!

Regaurding your question about GA AI, I am not having a problem at all.

I installed UT, Installed SP1, Ran the updates for Program, exited UT, Downloaded the Repaints, Exited, Downloaded the AFCAD's, and then recompiled selecting all GA.

Worked like a charm, and I fly outta KTOL, where I live now, and tried a few others as well. Last night I was doing TnG's at Meigs with 5 other's in the pattern, as well as some entering for full stops.

    Hope this helped.

Same for me. Same procedure, GA OK. Went to take a look at Jeffco and saw a Kingair and a Mooney taking off (around 13:15).

Yep..SP1 is a must..the update feature is a big help as well. I'm a bit red faced as I didn't RTFM before install and wiped
out the ILS for MHT 6/24 (which I'd added on).

This is a wonderful add on, and has added quite a bit to the
FS experience. Taking off from ORD yesterday was great. I've
never used overlays before and there were airplanes taking off
    all over the place! ;-)
