Default Drop Down Done Dropped Out

Recently I had a problem with downloading weather in FS2002. A kind soul in this forum advised me to delete the FS2002.cfg file and let the program build a new one. This solved my d/l problem but now my drop down menu's are gone. Anyone know how to get them back?
    Thanks in advance.

Does fs2002 start up in full screen mode or windowed mode.As I recall when you force fs2002 to create a new cfg it will bring up the getting started menu, and also will default the parameters like resolution and realism etcetera.Does hitting the ALT key not display the parameters? One other thought, if your resolution is defaulted to a lower resolution, your drop down menu may be off screen. You may have to temporarily adjust vertical size to see the menu and readjust after selecting the res. you want

Thanks...You solved half my problem. Using ALT got my menu's back. Now I am back to my old problem. I downloaded today's weather and started out from JFK in NY. We are having heavy rain today and the game started out fine when I was on the ground. As soon as I got up into the clouds, the game crashed and I got the send/don't send message.
I'm still playing with it but it looks like it runs ok when I use light cloud cover but crashes with heavy clouds or rain. The computer has a 2.53 processor and 128K memory so it should be able to handle the clouds. I am trying different resolutions to see if that helps. It looks like I lost the d/l'ed weather when it crashed but I can still set the cloud density on my own.

What operating system and video card are you using? Windows XP is recommended to have 512 megs of memory for FS2k2. Are you overclocking? Also you may need the latest drivers for your video card. You could try the same flight with your sliders reduced to see if its a video problem. Hope this helps.

I have 512 meg memory and an NVidia card with 64MB. I'll try pulling down some of the sliders. I think I have everything maxed out at the moment. It runs fine until I add too much weather.
