The terrain.dll is specifially mentioned in the error report.
What I've done is disable it with with a name change (tterrain.dll) and FS2K2 loads up now but I''m wondering what I've lost with this disable. Any help out there?
Thanks
Larry

Probably alot. Visit some mountainous areas, or other types of areas to see if you notice a problem.
You probably have installed some third party scenery that is causing the problem.
Download afcad140.zip or scanbglsV2.zip, run the BGL Scan program and see if it identifies any corrupted bgls. If not, try removing any addon scenery one by one to see if the problem is corrected.

Thanks - will try that. The only scenery I've added has been Justin Tymes "Catalina" but everything was working fine after the install and then the following morning, "whammo" hang-ups and error messages. BTW, anyone who reads this message... make sure you back up your copies of FS2002.cfg and Scenery.cfg - this has saved me from having to do a complete reinstall more times than I can imagine.
Gear down.....landing checklist...
