Hi all,
This is my first post in this forum. I've been a flightsimmer for years and have passed trough several versions of Microsoft's flight sims.
The question that brings me here is that yesterday I did a fly to Alert in far north. It's a gravel runway. As I approached I noted something very extrange. The snow ground textures were moving and the runway seemed to float on top. It was a very bizarre experience trying to land on this as it was sort of landing on a carrier that aparently was moving sideways, backbards and everywhere depending on the point of view of the airplane trying to land.
I had not noticed that before, so evidently it is a bug of some sort produced by an add on. Only happens on snowed surfaces in the far north. On summer surfaces in more temperate climates, this bug is not present. The latest add on I have installed is mstrees2.zip for improved tree autogen. Can it be "unlinking" the ground textures with the runways and taxiways?
has anyone else noticed this bug? any way of sorting this out without having to do a full re-install? (In my current FS2K2 it would be a brutal pain).
Fair winds!
Jordi
