Thread: FSUIPC message

  1. Default FSUIPC message

How do I eliminate the message that FS2002 has detected third party software, namely FSUIPC? Obviously I can ignore the message but it is irritating. I think this has been answered before but my hard drive left me and I had to reinstall. I don't find the answer in FAQ.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-13-03 AT 12:27PM (EDT)[p]Open your FS2002.cfg file, and fidn or add a section called OLDMODULES. The section must have square brackets at the start and end, just look at some of the other sections in there and you will see what I mean. Add the line FSUIPC.DLL=1 to that section. Hope that helps.

    Doc,

Do a little surgery on your FSUIPC and replace it with a later version from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html .

Thanks for both suggestions. I was using the Feb. 2003 version so I wasn't that far out of date. The Old Modules suggestion worked but I did install the most recent version of FSUPIC.

You have other problems if you need to stick the FSUIPC in the OLDMODULES section. Perhaps you have a rogue copy of FS2002.

You could try several things. First extract a fresh copy of fs2002.exe and sim1.dll from your fs2002 cd and replace the copies you have installed in your fs2002 and fs2002\modules folders respectively to see if it solves your problem. You might also rename your fs2002.cfg to fs2002.cfg.OLD, restart fs2002 and see if the problem is corrected.
