Default Fsfrance Concorde problem

LAST EDITED ON Apr-07-03 AT 07:09PM (EST)[p]Hi all. I have been improving the Mach 2 Project Concorde and have downloaded 2 concorde dynamic files. However, the latest one is said to fix the front gear. It doesn't work! The problem is, during short flights, everything works fine. However, during how flights like from Paris to New York or vise versa, the plane keeps gaining speed on descent even though the visor is fully down and the engines are at minimum power (No afterburners of course). I approach at 180kts. with the gear down, and the plane goes down at about 200 ft. per minute at a pitch of about 3 degrees! The pitching never fixes itself, as no matter how slow you go, the plane doesn't pitch up to maintain the rate of descent. I though the landings were supposed to be 10 degrees up!. I land at such a nonsteep angle and the front gear falls into the ground-sinking! Also, when I get right above the runway, the autopilot usually turns something off, such as alt. hold or appro. hold, and I usually bang the nose against the ground unexpectedly b/c I usually have the autopilot control the plane during descent and landing with adjustments. Is there anyone that knows how to fix these problems? I would greatly appreciate it!

I believe the Mach 2 Project Concorde has flaps modeled into the airfile.....be sure there set to full....Turn your A/P off at around 400ft and hand flare the A/C to the runway.

I didn't particularly like the air. file (FS2000 conversion was more to my liking), but I didn't have any real problems landing it......Again, I think you need to disengage your A/P sooner, and be sure you can "Feel" the A/C still has sufficient Speed and Lift, for your final flare.

    Practice, Practice, Practice!

Yeah, well I'm still trying to find out how to transfer fuel to move the cg! Can't seem to get to the fuel/engine panel. Any thoughts?

    Hi Mark,

The Mach 2 Project Concorde Panel cfg. file, shows the fuel pump selector on the UPPER panel in the virtual cockpit.....although it Doesn't show up in mine......Maby because I have 2002 virtual gages set to "Low", as I never use VC's......I guess I could test that theory, other than one problem......I canned the A/C after a few test flights.......As I stated above, I personally found the 2000 conversion I have installed to be much better.....YES, I DO appreciate the effort that went into this A/C, again, just my opinion.

Make sure your VC gages are set to best quality in 2002, and pan your view to the upper panel....see if you can see the selector?

One more note, The default setting IS on "Auto fuel transfer", so it should begin to transfer fuel, even with out the switch, ONCE the A/C has burned enough fuel, from all 4 tanks, to begin the transfer....It did for me, but it took way to long. Had to fly at around FL280, until it burnt the fuel off.
