My big fat multiplayer problem.....

Ahhh. Just re-installed fs2002 again, workes fine in single player modus,but when I connect to a multiplayer game the aircraft crashes into the ground. No chance to fly. And after it even single player games won't work until I install FS again.
Please help me, if you can.

Try renaming your fs2002.cfg file to fs2002.cfg.OLD, then restart fs2002, let it stabilize, and see if the problem clears. If it lets you play again, then you need to find out what is corrupting the fs2002.cfg file.

If not, you may need to investigate whether you need to update drivers for your computer's controller chips, sound, graphics adapter, NIC, modems, etc.

hmm.. thanks, tried renaming the fs2002.cfg but it doesn't help. But I've notied that all bigger planes (B737 i.e.) work fine in singleplayer mode. However, when trying to start a multiplayer game(direct TCP/IP, msn.zone or gamespy) the same error, no aircraft is flyable and when "moving" it in the air, the engines could not be startet or the gears retracted.

The drivers should be the newest around.
Any other suggestion ?

Are you sure you are not starting multiplayer sessions in observer mode? Also, check what your default flight is set to in FS2002.

Was a nice idea, but didn't help. I made my default flight with gears retracted and full throttle flying at FL100 what works fine in singleplayer mode. But as soon as I start a multiplayer game, the old problem: 0 power, no chance to start the engines and the gear down (also not moveable).

Any idea ? I'm frustrated having installed fs2002 about 20 times the last five days.

also make sure you are in windows mode - no full screen - it helps a lot
