No Force with Force Feedback 2

Here's a strange problem maybe someone can help me with. My FF2 works in all respects except for force. Just stopped one day in CFS2 and MSFS2K2. Forces test okay in setup, all appropriate boxes checked everywhere. Seems like the games just don't talk to the stick where force is concerned. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I had a load of problems with mine too until I found an obscure article in the MS Knowledge Base suggesting opening the 15-16Mbyte hole in the BIOS - this fixed my problems.

Go into your BIOS in the normal way (usually DEL key when you first switch on) and look for the setting called "15-16Mb Hole". Activate it, save settings and exit.
