Stuttering

I have been running FS2002 fairly successfully with a voodoo3 16mb card. I have just changed the card to a Nvidia GeForce2 MX 400 64mb and whilst the graphics are fantastic and the framerates better,I have problems with continual stuttering and "jerky" graphics (whilst acieving framerates in excess 0f 30 fps).
I have also loaded the latest drivers.
My system is Pentium111 1GB with 256megs of ram.
I would be grateful for some help.

Try limiting your FPS down to 18-20. Your machine can't keep up 30fps, so if you restrict it, you should see an improvement.

Try to disable hardware acceleration(Run DxDiag).
