Thread: Total Crash

  1. Default Total Crash

LAST EDITED ON May-24-03 AT 05:03PM (EDT)[p]A few months back, I had a problem with my computer going black and turning itself off. Somewhere on the computer I found a place that showed the status of the fans. I think it showed rpm. It indicated that my CPU fan was not working. Opened it up and found the connection not connected. Fixed the problem.

The problem is back and I don't feel like opening the computer. (I don't have much work space.) Can't remember where I saw the fan status screen. Anybody know?

    Thanks,

    Alan

Perhaps your system's BIOS? Usually you get into it by hitting the 'Delete' key during system POST, before you boot into the Windows screen. Look for an area to enter in BIOS called something like 'System Health' or 'CPU Health' or something along those lines.
