This is where I consider myself lucky that 99.996% of my email is spam, spam, spam and more spam and that I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to the email I open having used the Internet for the last 7 or 8 years (I started with the kids version of Prodigy on my 75 Mhz Pentium, lol). I wind up getting about 50-80 email messages per day that are spam so I don't even think twice about hitting the delete button anymore. If it isn't someone I know, family, these fourms, etc. then I don't even want to see it whether it be from Microsoft or Joe Blow.

Yup! Got that one yesterday in my Yahoo account. They are using a forged MS address and attaching a virus. Trash canned that one right away.

It never ceases to amaze me how spammers and hackers can get into people's systems with messages as basic as that. Who would be stupid enough to open an email that suspicious. "All information is in the attached file." WHAT INFORMATION? Sheesh.

It passed my way too, but I just deleted it before I let anyone
else use the computer. It was a pretty lame attempt. :D

I've received this message about 20 times so far. It even has started bypassing my ISP virus protection. They usually delete the attached virus and send the details. This virus of course comes with different messages or hooks.

Your comment Tim reminded me of a recent "Idiot" Virus that was being passed around where the message told the recipient to delete a file that they just received. The file was actually a windows system file.

You don't have to "open" an e-mail to get infected.
