AI ATC problem, help appreciated

I'm completely unable to use squawkbox anymore, so I am stuck to the FS2002 ATC. Mt problem is that I can't get clearance unless it's VFR. I ask for IFR clearance (yes flight plan filed and eveything), but get absolutely no response, and am still able to send the message. I can keep sending the message all I want, but I'd never get a resonse out of it, and during this, other aircraft are calling in and getting clearance just fine (IFR as well). Anyone have any ideas? Already uninstalled, cleaned, and reinstalled, and that didn't help.

Though, I use Squawkbox and still get plenty of mileage out of RCV3. Great program!

OK, problem solved:
HEADS UP to BOTA Competitors:
The software provided interferes with ATC, more specifically IFR, causing some commands NOT to be recieved by the sim, but rather transmitted via FSUIPC to the BOTA (Battle of the Airlines) software. Didn't bother to figure it out exactly, but all signs point to that specific software, specifically it'smain function to interact with FS.
