Spot Plane View

Recently I had FS2002 rebuild the FS2002.cfg file (with great improvements in frame rates!) but now when I call the spot plane view I get the zooming from the tower and a delayed response to the hat switch control. I believe this is the MS default but before I made the .cfg build the spot plane view was with instantaneous response to the hat switch and without and zooming. Is there any way I can change back to this more precise control? - also it would be great if there was a control function to place the spot plane view directly behind and in line with the aircraft heading, guess this does not exist but if it does please let me know the secret - thanks.

Start a flight, select Views from the menu, select View Options, select Spot Plane, and disable the gradual transition box in the lower right box. You can change other items in this box also.

To move directly behind your aircraft in Spot view press the Space bar.
